The end of the day, no matter if the day has been important, productive, or not, is a grounding thing. Washing one’s face of makeup, or dirt, or oil strips a person to their most basic form; it allows refreshment, it can give permission to change. People with bare and clean faces together are more uniform, flaws and hidden beauties exposed, vulnerable. A return to our roots, a departure from the created realities of the world. I aim to recreate this experience by using only line, a simple composition, and a straight-forward concept relatable to all with basic hygiene.
